What started as a few funny posts about medical life turned into a successful social media presence with a mission.
Now, powered by Will’s satirical videos and Kristin’s impactful writing, we’ve built a real educational media business. We host a weekly podcast, speak at keynotes across the globe, and create resources for med students and faculty that have been adopted by accredited institutions worldwide. And that’s just the beginning.
Our goal? A more empathetic and compassionate healthcare system for everyone.

These cover topics we wish we’d learned about sooner: how to deal with health insurance companies as a clinician, how to raise your voice on social media safely & ethically, and how to support and center co-survivors.
Who We Are.
We met in undergrad, and have been by each other’s side through a whole lot: four degrees, one wedding, two kids, one residency, two rounds of testicular cancer, one sudden cardiac arrest, and the second career we never expected.
Since then, we’ve shared those stories and more with millions of viewers. We’ve partnered with countless accredited research institutions and nonprofits, and our work has been featured in major media outlets.

WILL FLANARY
My “Dr. Glaucomflecken” alter ego began as a creative outlet to tell painfully specific ophthalmology jokes and to cope with my own health challenges. Since then, it has evolved to incorporate satire of the US healthcare system, academic publishing, and the interpersonal conflicts that are pervasive in the medical system.
